FOXBORO, MA – The driver of a semi tractor trailer was seriously injured Monday afternoon, November 1, when he crashed and rolled his truck on an interstate in Norfolk County, Massachusetts. The single vehicle truck accident occurred just south of the city of Foxboro, on the ramp between Interstate 495 and Interstate 95. The accident area is in the east section of Massachusetts, about 32 miles south of the Boston metro region and about 22 miles north of Providence, Rhode Island.

Monday afternoon a 45 year old truck driver from New York was driving a semi trailer through Norfolk County, MA. The trailer section of the semi tractor truck was filled with a cargo of candles and it is believed that the semi is owned by a trucking company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. EASTHAMPTON, MA – A truck driver fled the scene after he knocked down several utility poles in Hampshire County, Massachusetts. The truck accident occurred in Easthampton, MA when the unknown semi truck driver attempted to make a U-Turn on narrow Chapel Street and the downed poles cut off power for over a hundred homes and businesses. The truck accident area is in the west central section of the state about 98 miles west of Boston, MA and about 41 miles north of Hartford, Connecticut.

After the truck accident police shut down Cottage Street between Clark and Pine Streets, and Chapel Street was also closed for the rest of the day while highway crews cleared the downed poles from the roadway and the Union Mart store.

ANDOVER, MA – Three people were injured last Tuesday in a truck accident on a busy Massachusetts highway. The collision between the 18 wheeler truck and passenger sedan occurred on Interstate 495 in Andover, MA. The area is north of the Boston metro region in the northeast corner of the state, 34 miles southeast of Manchester, New Hampshire and 87 miles north of Providence, Rhode Island.

The 18 wheeler ended up on its side, partially in a gully at the side of the interstate. The tractor trailer finally stopped, blocking two lanes of traffic and trapping Mr. Ramos in the cab of his truck.

BOSTON, MA – A semi truck accident involving 3 tractor trailer rigs happened at the eastbound Weston Toll Plaza of the Mass Turnpike about 15 miles from Boston around 2:30 am, Monday morning, Oct 26, 2009. The chain-reaction accident happened when a rig carrying a load of tomatoes was stopped in a cash-only lane at the toll plaza when a passenger car and two other tractor trailer trucks were approaching from behind. One of the rigs was carrying a load of plastic foam cups and the last one in the line was carrying a load of beef.

The truck accident occurred when the rig carrying the load of beef struck the tractor trailer carrying the styrofoam cups, invloving the passenger car – a Toyota Corolla – that was crushed in between the two rigs. Both semi trucks tipped over on their sides, one on the left side and one on the right side spilling beef carcasses all over the roadway and causing a major traffic jam at the Weston toll plaza.

The driver of the passenger car suffered minor facial injuries and was taken to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported. Watch video from Fox channel 25, Boston:

Police are still trying to sort all of this out, but the driver from Oklahoma says he was driving the appropriate speed when he was rear-ended by the other truck from Michigan who was carrying the load of beef. The truck driver from Oklahoma, said, “I was coming into the toll booth … at the regular speed you’re supposed to with E-ZPass, and all of a sudden I saw out of the corner of my eye this truck coming and he wasn’t stopping and then he plowed right into me.”

The collision caused a major traffic jam at the toll plaza so Police were basically waving all the traffic through these two lanes to try to ease up some of the traffic congestion but the problem is that it was a huge mess and cars were snaking their way through two open lanes of the toll plaza.

There were three different operations underway involving State Police. State Troopers were trying to get some of the traffic through the toll plaza through just two of the lanes that were open at the time.

The other thing that was going on was that there were tow truck operators who were working to try to get some of this wreckage out of there and then of course cleanup the mess. There were these beef carcasses from one of the trucks strewn across several of the lanes on the Pike.

The third thing is that there is an investigation underway by the State Police who are trying to figure out why all this happened in the first place. They are trying to understand whether it was speed or whether it was a mechanical problem, or perhaps if one of the drivers fell asleep.

The scene of the truck accident was cleared up by about 10:30 am, but the accident is still under investigation.
