Tractor Trailer Loses Load after Truck Accident in Indiana

PIERCETON, IN – A semi lost part of its load of hazardous materials after an early morning truck accident Thursday, January 6, in Kosciusko County, Indiana. The tractor trailer flipped over on its side after the crash on U.S. Highway 30 near the town of Pierceton, IN. The crash happened in the north central part of Indiana about 33 miles west of Fort Wayne. The truck accident area is about 60 miles south of Three Rivers, Michigan and about 137 miles west of Toledo, Ohio.

Early Thursday morning 54 year old truck driver John E. David of Huber Heights, Ohio was driving a semi trailer truck west on US 30, traveling through north Indiana. Two Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 41 in Evansville Indiana

EVANSVILLE, IN – Two men were injured Wednesday morning, December 29, when they were involved in a truck accident on a highway in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. The men’s pick-up truck was hit by a semi tractor trailer on southbound U.S. Highway 41, at the juncture with Boonville-New Harmony Road. The truck accident area is in the Evansville metro region in the far southwest corner of Indiana, about 38 miles northwest of Owensboro, Kentucky and about 41 miles east of Carmi, Illinois.

On Wednesday morning 67 year old Bennie R. Nelson of Evansville, IN was driving a blue semi trailer truck south on U.S. Highway 41. Driver Arrested After Deadly Truck Accident Near Remington IN

REMINGTON, IN – A semi driver was arrested Thursday, December 16, after he set off a deadly truck accident in south Jasper County, Indiana. The driver’s passenger was also charged in the fatal collision that involved several Freightliner semis and occurred on Interstate 65 near the city of Remington, IN. The accident area is in the northwest part of Indiana, about 190 miles west of Lima, Ohio and about 94 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois.

On Thursday morning 50 year old truck driver Sayid Ama Ikar of Greensboro, North Carolina was driving a 2001 Freightliner semi trailer truck south on Interstate 65, moving through Jasper County, Indiana. Semi Driver Arrested after Deadly Truck Accident in Indiana

BAKERS CORNER, IN – A semi driver was arrested Friday, December 10, after a deadly truck accident at a highway intersection in Hamilton County, Indiana. The fatal collision occurred just north of Indianapolis at the juncture of 236th Street and U.S. Highway 31 in Bakers Corner. The truck accident area is in the central region of Indiana, about 146 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky and about 169 miles southeast of Chicago, Illinois.

Late Friday morning 47 year old truck driver Tarrance Lee of South Bend, IN was southbound on US 31, driving a semi trailer truck through Hamilton County, IN. The driver was carrying a load of steel cables in the trailer section of his rig when the truck accident occurred. The driver is employed by Storm Trucking, based out of South Bend. Driver Arrested After Truck Slams into Car Near Indiana High School

TERRE HAUTE, IN – A semi driver was arrested after the tanker truck he was driving slammed into a car Friday morning, November 19, on a street near a high school in Vigo County, Indiana. The truck accident happened during the morning commute at the intersection of Maple and Fruitridge Avenues near Terre Haute North Vigo High School in Terre Haute, IN. Purdue University Students Killed in Indiana Truck Accident

CLARKS HILL, IN – Two university students were killed Sunday morning, September 19, in a semi truck accident in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The deadly collision occurred when the college students’ car was hit by an 18 wheeler at the intersection of Indiana State Road 28 and County Road 975 East near the town of Clarks Hill, IN. The truck accident area is between Lafayette and Indianapolis in the central section of Indiana.

The force of the truck accident pushed the black Saab off the road and into a nearby field running along the south side of Indiana SR 28.

On Sunday morning 18 year old Truc Huynh of Lafayette was driving a black 2001 Saab 93 south on County Road 975 East, traveling through Tippecanoe County, IN. Truck Accident Causes Haz-Mat Spill on Indiana I-74 Near Cincinnati OH

DEARBORN COUNTY, IN – A semi truck crashed Friday morning, September 3, spilling several gallons of a hazardous material next to a highway in Dearborn County, Indiana. The single truck incident happened near the border between Indiana and Ohio and for a time shut down all lanes on Interstate 74. The truck accident area is in the southeast section of the state, about 26 miles west of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The truck accident occurred as the semi tanker moved through a construction zone near mile marker 159 on the interstate, close to the St. Peter overpass.

On Friday morning at about 7:30 a.m., 29 year old truck driver Andrzej Grela of Chicago, Illinois was driving a semi tanker truck east on Interstate 74 in Dearborn County, Indiana. The tanker truck was loaded with about 4,000 gallons of Phthalic Anhydride Molten, which is used to make polyester resins and dyes. It is a flammable material that reacts with water and can be potentially toxic if inhaled. Deadly Semi Truck Accident at Dangerous Indiana Intersection

VALPARAISO, IN – One person is dead after a semi truck accident Friday, May 28, 2010, in Porter County, Indiana. The collision between the 18 wheeler and a passenger car occurred in the city of Valparaiso at the intersection of Indiana 49 and Vale Park Road, reportedly one of the most dangerous intersections in the state. The accident area is in the far north corner of the state, about 60 miles southwest of South Bend, IN and about 53 miles southeast of Chicago, IL.

Valparaiso Police shut down the intersection while crews worked to clear the wreckage of the vehicles and officials reconstructed the truck accident.

At around 11:30 a.m. Friday morning, 79 year old Adele Nielson of Grovertown, IN was in her gold-colored passenger car, driving east on Vale Park Road. At the intersection with Indiana 49 the traffic light for her lane turned red and she came to a stop. At the same time a semi trailer truck was traveling south on Indiana 49. Fiery Truck Accident on Indiana Highway

LA PORTE, IN – A fiery truck accident on Friday night, April 30, 2010, shut down a section of an Indiana highway for several hours. The collision between a FedEx truck and a semi flatbed trailer occurred on Interstate 80/90 near the city of La Porte, in La Porte County, IN. The accident area is in the northwest section of the state near the borders of Illinois and Michigan, about 40 miles south of St. Joseph, MI and 70 miles east of Chicago, Illinois.

After rear-ending the flat bed trailer, the FedEx truck jackknifed across both lanes of the interstate and burst into flames. The flatbed semi was carrying three cars on its trailer at the time.

At around 7:45 p.m. 34 year old Andy Bowers of Walkerton, IN was driving a FedEx truck westbound on Interstate 80/90, also known as the East-West Indiana Toll Road, in La Porte County, IN. As Mr. Bowers was crossing a bridge on the interstate near mile marker 57 one of the tires on the FedEx truck blew out and he lost control of the rig.
