CLAVERACK, NY – A man died from injuries he suffered in a head-on collision with a flatbed truck Thursday morning. The truck accident happened on Route 9H/23 near the town of Claverack, New York, in Columbia County. The area is in the far east-central section of the state, 35 miles south of Albany, NY and 119 miles north of New York City.

At approximately 8:20 a.m. Thursday morning, 24 year old Daniel Edmonson of Wappingers Falls, NY was traveling north on Route 9H/23. A winter storm had moved through the area overnight and the roads were slick and snow covered.

Little Falls New York – A truck accident was reported on July 24th at approximately 10:30 EST just east of Little Falls, New York. It has been reported by WKTV Utica NY that a car collided with a dump truck.

State Police say the truck driver’s injuries are life threatening. Injured parties were airlifted to an Albany hospital. The driver of the dump truck was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for evaluation. The eastbound lane was shut down while the helicopter landed.
