CABIN CREEK, WV – A flatbed semitrailer flipped over on a bridge in Cabin Creek, WV on Tuesday March 20 and dumped a load of coiled steel, punching a 20 foot hole in the deck.
HUNTINGTON, WV – A UPS semi truck has crashed and blocked a portion of Route 2 in Huntington, West Virginia according to Cabell County 911 dispatchers as reported to WSAZ News Channel.
GLASGOW, WV – Two people were killed and two others critically injured Friday afternoon, October 1, in a head-on truck accident on a highway in Kanawha County, West Virginia. The deadly collision between a semi truck carrying coal and a pick-up truck occurred on U.S. Route 60 near the town of Glasgow, southeast of the state capital of Charleston. The truck accident area is in the west section of the state, about 194 miles east of Lexington, Kentucky and about 99 miles north of Bluefield, Virginia.
On Friday afternoon 58 year old truck driver Roger Fleshman of Beckley, WV was driving a 1997 International semi trailer truck east on U.S. Route 60 traveling through Kanawha County, West Virginia. The trailer section of the semi truck was carrying a load of coal. The semi truck is owned by Jeff Mining, Inc. which is based out of Rainelle, WV. HARRISON COUNTY, WV – A semi trailer truck crashed and lost some of its wheels after a roll-over accident on a West Virginia highway Wednesday morning, April 28, 2010. The truck accident occurred after another vehicle cut off the 18 wheeler on Interstate 79 near mile marker 112 in Harrison County, WV. The accident area is between the cities of Clarksburg and Bridgeport in the north central section of the state, 122 miles northeast of Charleston, WV and 60 miles southwest of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
At about 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning the unidentified truck driver was headed southbound on Interstate 79 in Harrison County, WV. The truck driver is reportedly from Canada and was hauling a load of steel beams at the time of the incident.
MILTON, WV – Four people were killed Wednesday, April 7, 2010, in a fiery truck accident in Cabell County, West Virginia. The deadly truck accident happened when two cars crashed and then crossed into the path of an 18 wheeler truck on Interstate 64 near Milton, WV. The accident area is in the far west-central section of the state near the Ohio border, 80 miles southeast of Jackson, OH and 140 miles east of Lexington, Kentucky.
At about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon two cars were traveling in the westbound fast lane on Interstate 64 near mile marker 26 when they collided with each other. According to authorities, 18 year Christopher Grizzell of West Hamlin, WV was experiencing a mechanical problem with his Oldsmobile Cutlass and was attempting to pull off the interstate onto the inner shoulder.
