Semi Driver Charged After Brownville Oregon Truck Accident
BROWNSVILLE, OR – A semi driver received multiple charges after a truck accident Wednesday morning, January 26, in Linn County, Oregon. The trucker lost control of his semi and the tractor trailer ended up in a river after going off Interstate 5 near the city of Brownsville, OR. The truck accident area is between Eugene and Portland in the west central part of the state, about 242 miles north of Yreka, California and about 98 miles south of Vancouver, Washington.

Pickup Truck and Semi Trailer Accident Near Portland, OR
MOUNT ANGEL, OR – A driver of a Ford Ranger pickup truck has died after a semi trailer ran a stop sign and crashed into it sending the pickup and the semi truck skidding off the road and plowing into a house in Mount Angel, Oregon, about 42 miles from Portland.

The collision occurred just after noon on Monday, December 7, 2009 at the intersection of Marquam Road Meridian Road in Mount Angel. Investigators say that the semi truck was traveling east on Marquam Road when the driver of the big rig ran a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck heading south on Meridian Road.

The force of the collision caused the two vehicles to skid along the roadway and crash through a tree and a fence before slamming into a vacant house owned by the Trinity Lutheran Church.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was identified as Roman Fabyanchuk, 25 years old from Washington. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as Marc Moberly, 51 years old from Silverton, OR. He was airlifted by medical helicopter and taken to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital where he later died, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Portland OR Semi Truck Accident – Crash on Interstate 5 – Saab Driver Dies
PORTLAND, OR – One person died early this morning after a fatal crash on the northbound Interstate 5 near the Lower Boones Ferry Road exit. The truck accident occurred about 2:00 am in the morning when the driver of a Saab ran into the rear of a semi truck that was in the process of exiting the freeway.

According to Oregon State Police Sargent Dan Swift, the deceased person was the driver of the Saab. Swift stated that at about 2:10 am this morning, the Saab collided with the rear of the semi truck as it was preparing to exit the freeway, then flipped over and burst into flames. The deceased driver has not been identified and investigators are unable to determine the person’s gender at this time.
Swift also stated that the semi truck was hauling asphalt. The semi truck driver was not injured in the collision.
All northbound lanes of the Interstate were closed for about an hour after the truck accident. Two of three lanes were closed until about 7:45 am, after which all northbound lanes were re-opened.
