The truck accident happened near Schuyler, New York, to the north of the city of Utica. CLAVERACK, NY – A man died from injuries he suffered in a head-on collision with a flatbed truck Thursday morning. The truck accident happened on Route 9H/23 near the town of Claverack, New York, in Columbia County. The area is in the far east-central section of the state, 35 miles south of Albany, NY and 119 miles north of New York City.

DE WITT, NY: A truck driver died Thursday morning after his tractor trailer left a New York highway and plowed into a tree in De Witt, NY. The fatal truck collision happened off the eastbound lanes of the NY State Thruway in Onondaga County in the Syracuse metro region. The area is in the north-central section of the state, between the cities of Rochester and Albany, and 250 miles northeast of New York, NY.

Thursday morning, 38 year old Audie O’Neil of Castile, NY was driving his 18 wheeler east on the NYS Thruway, hauling a cargo of lettuce for Price Chopper. A passenger, 36 year old Keith Pfeiffer, also from Castile, was asleep in the tractor trailer’s berth.

Tom Brokaw

NEW YORK -  According to MSNBC Tom Brokaw and his wife were involved in a three-car accident on a New York City highway that killed one woman. Neither Brokaw nor his wife were injured, but the out of control SUV driver who caused the accident was killed.

The accident happened Friday afternoon on the Bruckner Expressway. Brokaw says he was driving in the highway’s left lane when he saw a spool of cable bouncing along the far right lane. Brokaw said he saw a green SUV coming up in the right lane that went out of control.

Brokaw and police say the SUV driver, an unidentified woman, slid into the middle lane, forcing a mail truck in front of Brokaw’s car. Brokaw says his car slid into the median and collided with the mail truck.

Police say the SUV driver was thrown from the vehicle, off the highway and down onto train tracks below and killed. The 69-year-old Brokaw and his wife, Meredith, were not injured.

The postal service truck driver, 54, was injured in the accident and was taken to Westchester Medical

A statement from Brokaw said he and his wife “are greatly saddened by this loss of life.

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – Accordinging to MyFoxNY a truck carrying garbage slammed into several parked cars and a tree on Broadway in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.

The crash occurred at around 5:30 a.m on Wednesday near West 259th Street near West 259th Street.

Police report that the driver was severely injured.

It’s not clear what caused the driver to lose control of the truck.

Little Falls New York – A truck accident was reported on July 24th at approximately 10:30 EST just east of Little Falls, New York. It has been reported by WKTV Utica NY that a car collided with a dump truck.

State Police say the truck driver’s injuries are life threatening. Injured parties were airlifted to an Albany hospital. The driver of the dump truck was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for evaluation. The eastbound lane was shut down while the helicopter landed.
