GALLATIN COUNTY, KY. — A truck driver from South Carolina was killed Friday, Dec. 7, in an accident on I-71 near the Boone and Gallatin County line in Kentucky where his tractor trailer went off the Interstate at a place that is notorious for accidents like this.

COLFAX, IA – Two semi trailers were involved in a truck accident Friday, January 7, on a highway in Jasper County, Iowa. At least one of the drivers was injured and gallons of fuel spilled in the head-on collision that occurred on Interstate 80 near the town of Colfax. The accident area is just east of the Des Moines metro region in the central part of Iowa, about 220 miles northeast of Kansas City, Missouri and about 148 miles west of Rock Island, Illinois.
On Friday morning two semi trailer trucks were traveling in opposite directions on Interstate 80. The 18 wheelers were in Jasper County when the truck accident occurred. One of the semis was pulling a flatbed trailer with some kind of large piece of machinery on the trailer. There is no information on who owns the flatbed truck. MAYSVILLE, KY – Officials believe the shifting load in a semi trailer was a factor in an overturn truck accident in Mason County, Kentucky. Severe weather may also have contributed to the single vehicle crash which occurred Sunday night, December 12, as the semi trailer was on Kentucky State Highway 9, also known as Aa Highway, in the city of Maysville. The accident area is in the far north part of the state near the Ohio border, about 233 miles north of Knoxville, Tennessee and about 69 miles southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Late Sunday night Francis Jamison of Maysville, KY was driving a tractor trailer through the far northeast section of the state. The driver was carrying a load of recycled paper at the time of the truck accident. He was reportedly headed up north but his exact destination is not known. The logo on the trailer section of the semi is for Heartland Express, a transportation company with multiple regional offices, based out of North Liberty, Iowa.

LONDON, KY – One person was killed and two others injured Wednesday afternoon in a fiery multi vehicle truck accident in Laurel County, Kentucky. The deadly collision occurred on Kentucky State Highway 80 near the city of London and would set off a brush fire in the wooded area adjacent to the roadway. The truck accident area is in the southeast corner of the state, about 75 miles south of Lexington, KY and about 97 miles north of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Early Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 49 year old Donald Perry of Corbin, KY was driving a white 2010 Chevy cargo van east on Kentucky State Highway 80 in Laurel County, KY. OLDHAM COUNTY, KY – A cargo of ink spilled onto a highway in Oldham County, Kentucky, Wednesday morning, October 13, after a tractor trailer truck rolled over. Kentucky State police closed a section of Interstate 71 for hours and crews would work into the night to clean the ink off the road surfaces after the semi tractor trailer truck rolled over on the highway just northeast of the city of Louisville. On Wednesday morning a truck driver was driving a semi trailer north on Interstate 71, traveling through Oldham County, Kentucky. The tractor trailer is owned by the Flint Group a global printing production company based in Luxembourg. According to a company official the truck driver had picked up a cargo of blue and yellow ink at the company’s Elizabethtown, KY plant and was on his way to deliver it to Columbus, Ohio. The collision between the semi trailer truck and a van occurred early Monday morning on Interstate 75 near mile marker 93 between the communities of Richmond and Boonesboro.
