ARKANSAS CITY, KS. — A semi truck hauling pet food from Iowa to Fort Worth, Texas, overturned after one of the big rig’s drive-wheel tires lost its tread as the trucker was rounding the traffic circle to go south on U.S. 77.
WHITEWATER, KS – A semi trailer truck driver died Tuesday, August 10, after he collided with a train at an intersection of the railroad tracks and a Kansas highway. The deadly truck accident occurred on Kansas Highway 196 in the city of Whitewater near the border between Harvey and Butler counties. The accident area is northwest of the Wichita metro region in the south section of the state, about 192 miles southwest of Kansas City, Missouri and about 150 miles north of Enid, Oklahoma.

MULVANE, KS – Four people died when an SUV traveling the wrong way on the Kansas Turnpike/Interstate 35 led to a fatal truck accident early Monday morning. The truck accident happened south of Wichita near Mulvane, in Sumner County, KS. The accident area is in the south central section of the state near the Oklahoma border, 193 miles west of Joplin, Missouri and 165 miles northwest of Tulsa, OK.
Early Monday morning 39 year old Kyoung Yeaon Chae and her two twin 17 year old daughters and her 9 year old son, all of Wichita, KS, were traveling southbound on the Kansas Turnpike/I-35 in a 2008 Dodge van. SOUTH HAVEN, KS – A fatal accident occurred when a SUV tried to make a u-turn and collided with a semi tractor trailer truck. The crash happened near the Oklahoma border around 9:00 pm Wednesday night when a car with 5 people was heading south on the I-35 near the South Haven exit. Troopers say the driver missed the exit and tried to quickly make a u-turn to head the other way.
