Semi Truck Driver Charged with Murder: Los Angeles Trial Set for June
LACAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA – Jury selection is scheduled to begin this summer, June 20, two years after Marcos Costa’s runaway semi truck swerved out of control down Angeles Crest Highway, crashing into several vehicles injuring several victims and killing a man and his 12-year old daughter. The victims killed on April 1, 2009 were Angel Posca and his 12-year-old daughter, Angelina, of Palmdale. On Oct 9, 2009, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge dismissed the murder charges against Marcos Costa, the 44 year old driver of the semi truck from Everett, MA involved in the Angeles Crest truck accident on April 1, 2009, but the charges were reinstated after an appellate court ruling. Truck Accident Causes Traffic Delays on California I-15
RANCHO BERNARDO, CA – There were major traffic delays Friday, Feb 11, after a truck accident closed a portion of a highway in San Diego County, California. A semi truck jackknifed and crashed on Interstate 15 near the suburb of Rancho Bernardo just as the afternoon commute was getting started. CARLSBAD, CA – A semi trailer truck crashed and flipped over onto a center barrier wall early Friday morning, Oct 8, on a highway in San Diego County, California. The single vehicle truck accident happened after one of the tires blew out on the semi as it traveled near the city of Carlsbad, CA. GILROY, CA – A truck driver died early Friday morning, August 27, after his semi trailer truck crashed on a highway in the San Jose metro region in Santa Clara County, California. The fatal collision occurred just south of the city of Gilroy, on U.S. Highway 101 between Highway 25 and Betabel Road. The truck driver had picked up a cargo of broccoli in Salinas, CA and was transporting the trailer load north to Oakland, CA.
