Two Semi Trucks Involved in Accident on U.S. Highway 77 North of Sinton, TX

SINTON, TX – A semi truck overturned on U.S. 77 and onother big rig veered off the road to avoid hitting it near Sinton, TX on March 11, 2014.

Sinton is located in San Patricio County, Texas in the southern part of the state about 30 miles northeast of Corpus Christi.

The accidents happened around 3:00 a.m. just north of Sinton when a southbound semi truck on U.S. Highway 77 overturned.

Another semi truck veered to avoid hitting it and went off the road. The accidents blocked traffic and Highway 77 was shut down for about an hour.

The driver of the first semi truck suffered a minor injury, but there were no serious injuries or fatalities and there were no hazardous materials involved.

The accident is currently under investigation.
